One of the biggest statue of Christ installed in Poland

In the Polish city of Swiebodzin (Swiebodzin), located 32 kilometers north of Zielona Gora, finished the installation of one of the world's highest sculpture of Christ. Height of the monument is nearly 50 meters, 16 meters - the artificial mound on which stands a monument. The height of the statue itself reaches 33 meters. Thus, the Polish monument was a few feet less famous statue in Rio de Janeiro, whose height is 38 meters. Erection of a monument in Swiebodzin began in 2005. Initially, its opening was scheduled for October 16, 2007 - 28-th anniversary of the election of Karol Wojtyla the Pope, and the project was developed in 2000 and has since undergone several changes, according to PAP.
