Europe consistently struggles with smoking

The European Commission has set itself the ambitious goal for 2011: to unify all the existing restrictions on smoking throughout the EU. Now these or other restrictions apply in all States of the Union, but they are very different. So, if in Finland almost no closed rooms where smoking is permitted, the number of cities in Germany, Belgium or Greece rather difficult to find a bar smoking. "We need a complete ban on smoking in all public places, transport and the workplace" - quoted DELFI.lt European Commissioner for Health, John Dalli. It is planned that, in addition to creating uniform for the entire EU rules for smokers will be unified and tobacco - at least in their clearance. For example, the EU can ensure that all sorts of packs of cigarettes were not bright, but the pictures and writings about the dangers of smoking were the most noticeable. Another problem is the failure to comply with laws on smoking as clients as well as by the owners of public establishments. Therefore, following the unification of the rules, the European Union need to strengthen and verify their implementation.
