Exhibition of Art Deco will be held in Moscow

From October 22 to December 31 in Moscow gallery "Art Deco" an exhibition "Images of Art Deco", prepared with the assistance of the Institute of Russian painting. The exposition will include more than 50 works by Russian and Western European Materov XX century. All exhibits are provided by private collectors, some exhibited for the first time. The exhibition will consist of three sections. The first will feature the works of artists who collaborated with the famous "Russian Seasons" by Sergei Diaghilev. The second section, "The sculpture of bronze and ivory Art Deco style, you will see the works created in 1920 by Dmitry Chiparusom and other sculptors of the era, illustrating the Russian ballet productions. The third section talks about the direction of Art Deco in Russian art and is an attempt to study works of art created in the heyday of this style. It will be presented a unique series of sketches of costumes famous artist Erte, who worked in Paris and designed costumes for the leading dancers, and in 1925 moved to Hollywood, working Savely Sorin - artist, active in the West and little known in Russia, works by Boris Kustodiev.
