Dozens of women on Monday night took to the streets of southern Italian town of Castellammare di Stabia, to take part in the demonstration. They were protesting against the prohibition of wearing short skirts, who plans to introduce the mayor of the city. Mayor Luigi Bobbito intends to ban short skirts and other wardrobe items that are too frank - in his view - showing a woman's body, thereby violating decency. For failure of law to the ladies have to pay a fine of 500 euros. In the mayor's plans to introduce other restrictions: for example, use swearing language in public places and playing football in a city park, according to PAP.
