Tobolsk returns to itself the interest of tourists

Tobolsk improving its tourism infrastructure. Now in the city are 9 hotels, completed construction of two more. In 2007 there were seven hotels, and in 2005 - only 3. In the field of tourism and related industries in Tobolsk, employing over 5,000 people, says the local press. Reception of tourists and sightseers carry 14 tourist companies and tour operators; souvenirs can be bought in the 33 trading venues. During the first half of this year, visited Tobolsk 74,000 tourists, up 11% higher than the results of the same period last year. Income in the tourism sector amounted to about 289 million rubles. City with a population of 104,000 people planning to take until the end of 2010 around 160,000 tourists - as many visitors come here before the crisis. In 1999, Tobolsk was included in the list of historical cities of Russia. Here, more than 200 historical and cultural monuments located on public accounting, 35 of them are objects of cultural heritage of national significance. The main attraction is the city of Tobolsk Kremlin - the only stone complex of its kind in Siberia.
