Hilton hotel in Warsaw voluntarily lost one star

Warsaw Hilton Hotel & Convention Centre after the Cracow Sympozjum was the second hotel in Poland, to voluntarily reduce its category on one star. Taken by the owner of the solution has already received support from local authorities. This fact is another indication that competition in the five-star hotels are too high to make these hotels bring stable returns, say experts from the Polish publication Gazeta Prawna. Currently in Poland there are 40 luxury hotels, the largest number which goes to Warsaw, where there are 9 hotels of higher category, and Krakow, where there are 10 such hotels. Problems of luxury hotels are directly connected with the economic crisis. Their clients have ceased during business trips to choose accommodation in a segment of five-star hotels. On their intentions to reduce the category to one star also said Starwood Hotels & Resorts, owner of brands of Westin and Sheraton, but later retracted this decision.
