Kazan takes a million tourists

From January to September 2010 Kazan visited 890,000 tourists. Dynamics of growth of tourist traffic is preserved in October, and based on these data, the Committee for External Relations and Tourism of Tatarstan, predicts that by year-end capital of the republic for the first time will overcome the bar of one million visitors. Thus, during the nine months service international airport "Kazan" benefited 717,000 passengers, a 44% increase over the same period last year. River port city noted and handled 894 ship. Today in the Kazan operate 64 hotels total number fund 3,900 rooms (6,000 seats). Average hotel occupancy rate of 47%, up 3% increase compared to last year, but a 2% decrease compared with those of 2008. It is noteworthy that in two years the number of rooms increased by 700 due to the appearance on the market 11 new hotels. At various stages of construction are 14 additional hotels.
