Many airline passengers complain about the food provided during the flight. Scientists from the UK, finally figured out why food in the airplane seems tasteless: the reason for that - the roar of engines aircraft. The study authors conducted experiments with the participation of volunteers who have offered the same dishes in various conditions, writes Lenta.ru. In the first series of experiments, people have tried the food, listening on headphones noise resembling the roar in the cabin, and the second meal passed in silence. In this case, all the "guinea" blindfolded. After the meal, volunteers were asked to rate the sweetness and salty foods, as well as the intensity of the crunch when biting and chewing. In addition, people were asked whether they liked the food. It turned out that the noise level food people think much more fresh, but stiff and crunchy. Scientists believe that the effects of noise on gustatory and auditory sensation is different in nature, and we intend to more thoroughly investigate this matter.
