Moscow Planetarium promise to open in December

According to the decree of the Government of Moscow, the Moscow authorities will invest 1.415 billion rubles in reconstruction of the planetarium, which is scheduled for completion in December this year. Moscow Planetarium was closed for refurbishment in 1994 in connection with the emergency condition of the building. However, work on his recovery began only in 2002 and suspended several times due to lack of funding and conflicts among shareholders. In 2009, city officials announced the need to change the redevelopment project of the building, because it involves a series of "completely unnecessary and ugly elements." Upon completion of the reconstruction area of ??the building will increase by six times and will be 17 thousand square meters. At the same time it will take about a thousand visitors. The complex will include a lecture hall, museum, library, observation platform on the roof, souvenir shops, attractions and restaurants, but in the main hall will house Europe's largest dome
