Higher duty of a Muslim during the day is a five-time prayer. The best place for it - the mosque, whose name literally means "place of worship." Mosques vary in size and shape. However, as a rule, this rectangular building in the central part covered with a dome. From the tower mosque - minaret - muezzin (whose voices are increasingly supersedes audio) calls believers to the mosque. In the mosque there is no seating, the believers (men) stand in rows behind the imam, who reads the sermon. They are addressed to individuals mihrab, the niche in the wall indicating the direction toward Mecca. Women with their heads covered with scarves, hidden behind a screen and do not participate in prayer with the men. In most of the mosques on the same wall where the mihrab, is located pulpit from which the imam delivers the Friday sermon. At the entrance to the mosque should remove their shoes. Should be avoided as shorts, short trousers or too open dresses.
