City Vikings legend Oslo - Sognefjord

History is replete with Oslo almost fairy tales. It is believed that the Oslo as a trading settlement in 1048 founded the King of Norway Harald Hardrade, alias Harold Stern (1015 - 1066), personality is almost legendary. Warrior, with fifteen years led the battles, who led the guard of the Byzantine emperor, dobyvshy many precious booty, he was a true Viking. And there was a famous poet. Love for the daughter of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, Elizabeth Harald himself has described in "Visah joy" that thousands of years later, many poets have shifted into modern language the story of how Russian maiden in a golden necklace neglected the great warrior, causing him to suffer immensely. However, his beloved Harald eventually married. A founder of the Oslo killed while attempting to conquer England, but thanks to him, William the Conqueror (1027/28 - 1087) managed to defeat the already exhausted by the battle with Harald British troops. Oslo became the patron saint Halvard, who died defending the robbers from a pregnant woman. When the body Halvard robbers threw into the sea, tied a millstone to him, it has emerged. Relics of the saint were kept in the church of St. Halvard, from which today remains the only foundation. However, in Oslo, still stands the Old Church Acre, built with his son Harald Hardrade, Olaf III amicable (perhaps it is very different temperament from his father) (1050 - 1093 gg.). The Romanesque church of limestone has been erected over the former silver mine, it is written in "History of Norway", created a kind of monk in the XII century. According to legend, in the dungeons of mine Vikings hid their treasures. It is quite possible because throughout Scandinavia are still finding their treasure.
